We looked back at its glamorous days ending the narrative with the days of the Black July of 1983. It’s sister cinema Navah too suffered the same fate as many as Vijaya, Lanka, Chiththampalam cinemas all over Sri Lanka, which were looted and burnt. Memory of these spaces remain. This documentary stands a tribute to all those enriched the culture of film in Sri Lanka, who lost their lives, homes and working spaces due to uncontrolled waves of hate of those dark days of July 1983.
